I sit here at my son’s house, preparing to watch Super Bowl XLVI, I wonder…who is even in the game this year. As you can tell I am not an avid football fan, regardless of who is in the Big game. I did, however, check out what was being served for dinner. It was hard to pass up bar-b-q ribs and mashed potatoes, chips with cream cheese clam dip, mozzarella cheese sticks, mini cheese burgers (aka sliders) and best of all…I don’t have to cook them.
I love spending Sundays with my family, it is my most enjoyable event of the week. Today I am sitting here with my entire family, not really interested in the game, waiting to watch the commercials. I hope I am not disappointed. I understand that many felt the packers should be playing, where are they from anyway? just kidding, everyone knows they are from green bay. This brings me to another point… do you know the best thing about Superior Wisconsin? their view of Duluth. again I’m just kidding… ( not really) My son is rooting for the Giants, as is my nephew. Consensus here is no one wants the Patriots to win, they are a dynasty. They have had the most success of any professional team in the last 10 years. Yet my family is rooting strongly for the Giants cause the players are cute, my son simply thinks the giants are good guys. Enough said regarding the actual game, the commercials have begun and they are singing “you are the wind beneath my wings” so funny. and here we go! Good Luck to both teams, let’s make it a great game.
One last note, my daughter and I went to Mad Kat Quilt Shop today in Cloquet, Minnesota. They had a Super Sunday Sale, it was awesome. A very nice shop with a great, friendly staff. If you are in the area, you will want to check it out. Today they had 50% off selected fabric and kits, books, thread, misc. Definitely worth the trip. Just a valuable piece of info for you.
Leave a comment and let me know how you are spending the Super Sunday. Are you watching the game? spending time with family? enjoying a feast? spending time at your machine? take some time to let us know.
Have a great evening.
